On this trip, we'll uncover the secrets to Scotlands enchanted history and landscape. Experience the beauty of the highland hills with our own eyes and sense the magic of the land with visits to acclaimed whiskey distilleries and fabled landmarks and villages.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Stirling. Visit to Stirling Castle
Arrival to Edinburgh airport and transfer over to Stirling, we recommend you arrive before 12 noon. After check in at our hotel we'll have a meet and greet with our group and guide. Later we'll enjoy a stroll across the cobbled streets of Stirling. Enjoy a guided visit to the renowned Stirling Castle, sitting on a craggy volcanic rock and a castle that played a defining part in the formation of Scotland and its union with England. In the evening we enjoy a nice get together dinner with wine.

Day 2: Tour of the majestic Scottish Highlands
After our first hearty Scottish breakfast we depart Stirling and journey to the highlands. On our way we stop in Deanston Whisky Distillery, tour around one of Scotland's most renowned distilleries, with a chance to enjoy a few wee drams* (scottish slang for shots).
Later we visit the grounds of Doune Castle. One of Scotland's best preserved medieval strongholds and filming location for infamous tv series like Game of Thrones and Outlander.
Onwards we travel into the valleys of the Highlands, across the expansive lands of Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, where we learn about the heartbreaking story of the Mac Donald Clan, and the battles fought in these imposing mountains. We continue our journey across the highlands and visit Glenfinnan, home to one of the most picturesque viaducts in the world and filming location for Harry Potter. Finishing our day in Fort Augustus on the banks of Loch Ness.

Day 3: The search for the Loch Ness monster and following the footsteps of the Outlanders.
Wake up in the morning on the shores of the legendary Loch Ness, home to the world's most famous monster. After a wholesome breakfast we'll visit to the ruins of Urquhart castle, one of the most scenic castles in Britain. Enjoy a stroll around this historical landmark, followed by a cruise across the deep waters of the loch in an aim to see Nessie and enjoy the legends that form Britain's largest lake.
Afterwards we continue east towards the highland capital of Inverness. Visit the Culloden Battlefield were the Jacobites and Scottish clans fought for their freedom against British Rule. Later we'll visit the Crava Cairns stone circles that are over 4000 years old. Onwards we head south driving through the slopes of the Cairngorm mountain ranges. Finishing our day in Pitlochry, a quaint village on the entrance to the Highlands and former retreat for Queen Victoria.

Day 4: The Birthplace of Golf, Medieval fishing villages and the bays of Edinburgh
In the morning we head north toward the town of St Andrews. Renowned as the birthplace of golf and home to one of Britians best universities. We walk along the historical centre and visit the impressive remains and ruins of its cathedral. Once one of the largest in the world. Onwards, we visit the Old Course golf course, the first golf course in the world. Afterwards we head south along the northern coast of the bay of the river Forth. Visit some of the stunning medievel fishing villages well preserved for over 500 years. In the late afternoon we'll arrive in Edinburgh

Day 5: Visit to Edinburgh Castle, the Old Town and secluded secrets of Edinburgh
After breakfast we will enjoy a private guided tour of Edinburgh. First, we'll visit Edinburgh Castle. The bastion of Scottish power and British dominance over this land for centuries. We'll visit the insides of the castle and discover how this impressive fortress became an icon of Britain and Scotland. Afterwards we walk through the historic streets of the Royal Mile of Edinburgh. Discovering the peculiarities and hidden charms of the city. Later, free late afternoon to enjoy some shopping with the opportunity to visit the local shops selling scottish delights like cashmere clothing, tartan kilts, sweets and a variety of whiskey bottles. In the evening, enjoy some free time to relax in the enchanting surroundings of the Old Town of Edinburgh.

Day 6: The Viking Coast of North East England
After breakfast we head southwards, crossing the Anglo-Scottish border towards the former medieval Kingdom of Northumbria. Once an important region of religious study and art. Our first stop is Holy Island. A charming island connected by the mainland by a causeway, renowned for the impressive Lindisfarne Castle perched on the island hilltop. We'll enjoy free time to stroll around Lindisfarne village and the priory, with a chance to savour some world famous Lindisfarne Mead brewed by the monks on the island.
Later, we continue south, visit Alnwick Castle, known as one of England's finest castles. Alnwick is named the Windsor of the North. Enjoy free time to stroll around the Castle complex, from its stunning Grand Cascade to the Poison Gardens, along with a chance to roam the village.
In the evening we return to Edinburgh and head to out to Preston House to enjoy a traditional Scottish evening of music and dance, a perfect way to say goodbye to our Scottish adventure.

Day 7: Departure
After our journey across roaming highlands and the beautiful surroundings of Edinburgh, its time to say goodbye to Scotland.
But, as the old saying goes, you arrive in Scotland as a visitor and you leave as a friend. Transfer from hotel to the airport.
