Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and afternoon walking tour of Madrid

Arrival in Madrid Airport and transfer to our hotel. After check in, we'll have a meet and greet with our group and guide. We begin our discovery of Spain through the eyes of its capital, Madrid. Walk through its elegant boulevards full of imperial charm. Visit the Retiro Park, one of the largest city parks in Europe. In the evening we'll enjoy a nice dinner with wine in one of Madrid's traditional Spanish Taverns.

Day 2: Hola Madrid

After a good nights sleep we'll begin our discover of Madrid. One of Europe's largest Capitals. Our day will start with a visit to famous sites like the Palacio Real, home of the Spanish Monarchs. The world famous Prado Museum, full of masterpiece paintings, that have amazed people for centuries and the Plaza Mayor Square and surrounding streets. A perfect chance to explore the creative and vibrant life of one of Europes greatest capitals.

Day 3 : Tour of Toledo and the countryside of Don Quixote

Departing Madrid we begin our journey south towards the one of Spain´s former capitals, Toledo. A town once ruled by the Arabs and later a bastion of Christian rule during the reconquest of Spain. We'll stroll through its historic quarter brimming with history and legends. Visit a Marzipan Workshop followed by a visit to the 12th Century Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca and the 13th century Gothic style Cathedral of St Mary of Toledo. After a tour of Toledo we continue south, through the countryside of Castille, home of the legendary Don Quixote. Finishing the day in the picturesque village of Baños de la Encina. A town with a majestic 10th century former Arabic castle perched on the village hilltop.

Day 4: Discovery of the historical city of Cordoba.

After breakfast we visit the amazing Bury Al Hammam Castle in our village. A castle standing in great condition for over a thousand years.After Encina we travel to the city of Cordoba. Former capital of the Kingdom of Al Andalus. In the middle ages it was the most developed city in the world. Showing the splendour of andalusian arabic life. We'll visit the infamous Mosque of Cordoba. A Moorish mosque built by the arabs and converted to a cathedral after the christian reconquest. Walk through the mezmerizing old quarter of the city. Onwards we head towards the city of Seville.
Capital of the Andalusia region, rich in history dating back from medieval times. Departure point for Christopher Columbus on his discovery of the New World.

Day 5: Tour of Seville

Guided tour around the old quarters of Seville with its historical colorful lanes filled with orange trees. Visit to the famous Alcazar Palace and the Seville Cathedral. Free time in the evening for shopping and to enjoy the vibrant nightlife of Seville.

Day 6: The Rock of Gibraltar and canyons of Ronda.

Today we'll depart Seville and head south, towards the Mediterranean. We'll visit Gibraltar. A rock jetting out onto the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea and a British stronghold for over 3 centuries. A renowned a piece of Britain in the mediterranean. We'll visit the Rock of Gibraltar and have free time in its streets and lanes to do some Duty free shopping. Later we'll return to Spain and head inland into the heartland of Andalusia towards the hilltop village of Ronda. One of Europe's most picturesque villages. We'll enjoy a relaxed walk across its cobbled streets with its breathtaking views of the landscape brimming with olive and lemon groves.

Day 7: The Home of Picasso and the Costa del Sol.

After breakfast, we'll depart Ronda and visit Malaga. One of the largest cities on the southern mediterranean coast. with a visit to the museum of one of its most famous locals, Picasso. We'll visit the Pablo Picasso Museum, where we discover the inspiration for the works of art, of one the 20th century's most renowned artist. Later we'll turn east, towards Spain's Costa Tropical and our home for the next 5 nights. Almunecar.

Almuñecar, a wonderful coastal town surrounded by blissful beaches and secluded coves. It is the centre of the coastline known as the Costa Tropical. Due to its unique climate it is the only place in Continental Europe where tropical fruits like Mangos, Avocados and Papayas are grown. We'll enjoy a light afternoon snack of locally grown fruits in a hilltop cottage. Free late afternoon to enjoy the wonderful scenery and beaches Almuñecar has to offer.

Day 8: Free day

Free day to enjoy the delights of Almunecar. Go shopping in one of the delightful cobbled streets of the town's medieval old quarter. Or maybe enjoy a nice relaxing day on the beach. Almuñecar is one of the only few towns in Spain where if one orders a drink. You get a complimentary gourmet Tapa with any drink you order. Be it a soda or a glass of wine.

Day 9: Visit to the Sierra Nevada mountain villages and enjoying the rustic way of life.

After breakfast we will head 90 minutes on our coach eastwards towards the Valley of the Alpujarra. One of the last places inhabited by the fallen descendants of Spain's ancient Arab rulers, the Alpujarras valley and its villages are renowned for their tranquil way of life and harmonious atmosphere. Over the course of the past two centuries they have attracted countless writers from across Europe and North America. In the last 50 years they have become popular amongst artists and singers from across the world who have been searching for a slower pace of life and a place of retreat.

We begin our discovery of the Alpujarra with a visit to Trevelez. Spain's highest village, situated on the slopes of a former glacial valley at a height of 4850 ft. Here, some of Spain's finest Serrano Ham is curated in unique houses. We'll have the chance to try this unique delicacy and discover why it's a must for every Spanish household on any occasion. Later, we will head to the three villages of the Poqueira Gorge. Renowned for their isolated beauty and traditional architecture.

The villages of the Poquiera Gorge are unique in their white washed architecture dating back to medieval Arab times. They are built on traditional foundations for Olive branches and mountain stone. We will also visit a weaving workshop that uses centuries old weaving methods and traditional colors passed down from the time of the silk road. Later, we will enjoy some wine and cheese tasting in one of the local artisan shops followed by free time to do some shopping for souvenirs and traditional woven clothes. Return in the late afternoon/evening to our hotel.

Day 10: Tour of Granada, the Alhambra Palace and an evening of Flamenco.

After breakfast we'll drive 45 minute north on our coach towards the city of Granada. Where we begin our visit to one of the most majestic palaces in the world and Spain's most visited historical sight, the Alhambra Palace. We'll discover this fascinating and ever imposing landmark overlooking the whole city, and walk through its elegant rooms and the mighty fortification that protected the palace for centuries.

In the evening we will enjoy a traditional Flamenco night in one of the Gypsy Caves of the Sacromonte district.

Day 11: Visit to the Mediterranean villages of Frigiliana and Nerja as well as magnificent caves

After breakfast we head to the unique caves of Nerja. Known as Spain's underground wonder, it has some of the largest stalactites in the world. Onwards we visit town of Frigiliana, perched up on a hilltop, this town and its scenic surroundings was known for centuries as a Little Jerusalem on the Mediterranean as it was a town of 3 religions. With Christians, Muslims and Jews living in harmony for centuries.

Enjoy a stroll across the streets of the town with a chance to savour some local Moscatel sweet wine in one of the local establishments. Later, we visit Nerja, a fishing town situated on a cliff top overlooking the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. On our return we travel through the Goats road. One of the most scenic coastal drives in the Mediterranean.

Day 12: Departure and transfer to Malaga Airport.

After our discovery through our senses of Spain and its delightful landscape brimming with passionate people. It's time to say goodbye, transfer to Malaga airport to return to USA/Canada.
