On this 6 day trip we'll uncover what makes this great city one of Europe's best capital and learn about the interesting stories its outskirts have to tell. From the eerie stories of the Middle Ages in Toledo, to the fairytale sights of Segovia and the slow living rural life of Castille.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Madrid
Arrival to Madrid, transfer from the airport to the hotel. We recommend you arrive before 12 noon. After check in we do a meet and greet with our group and guide, followed by a walk through Madrid's elegant boulevards full of imperial charm. Visit to the infamous Retiro Park in the center of Madrid. We'll also visit one of the hidden palaces of Madrid filled with secrets and beautiful works of art.
In the evening we'll have a lovely get together dinner with wine.

Day 1: Arrival to Madrid
Arrival to Madrid, transfer from the airport to the hotel. We recommend you arrive before 12 noon. After check in we do a meet and greet with our group and guide, followed by a walk through Madrid's elegant boulevards full of imperial charm. Visit to the infamous Retiro Park in the center of Madrid. We'll also visit one of the hidden palaces of Madrid filled with secrets and beautiful works of art.
In the evening we'll have a lovely get together dinner with wine.

Day 2: Tour of Madrid´s finest attractions and museums
After a good night's rest and a some filling breakfast we'll be visiting famous sites like the Palacio Real, the occasional residence of the Spanish monarchs, the world famous Prado Museum full of masterpiece paintings that have amazed people for centuries and the Plaza Mayor Square and the surrounding streets. A perfect chance to explore the creative and vibrant life of one of Europe's greatest capitals.

Day 3: Discovering the true inspiration for Disney's fairytale Castle and a passionate night of Flamenco
In the morning we'll head north to the town of Segovia. A Unesco world heritage site, Segovia is renowned for its historical architectural marvels. We'll visit sites like the awe inspiring Roman Aqueducts that tower through the center of the town followed by a visit to the Alcazaba. An enchanted castle that's perched on a hilltop and one of the true inspirations for Disney's fairytale castle icon.
In the evening we'll return to Madrid, where we'll enjoy a night of traditional flamenco music and dance, along with dinner.

Day 4 : Tour of Toledo and the countryside of Don Quixote
Departing Madrid we begin our journey south towards the one of Spain´s former capitals. Toledo, a town once ruled by arabs and later a bastion of christian rule during the reconquest of Spain. We'll stroll through its historic quarter brimming with history and legends. Visit the 12th Century Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca and the 13th century Gothic style Cathedral of St Mary of Toledo followed by a visit to an artesanal Marzipan workshop that still creates these delicious treats using methods dating from the Middle Ages. After a tour of Toledo we cross through the countryside of Castille, home of the legendary Don Quixote. Ending our day in Alcala de Henares, a Unesco world heritage town on the northern outskirts of Madrid, where we'll stay in a 15th Century Monastery, converted into a luxurious hotel.

Today we'll be doing a short ride across the fields and olive groves of Castille. We'll visit a traditional farm were we'll discover the ancient way of how olive oil was produced along with some infamous manchego cheese.
In the afternoon we'll return to our monastery hotel for free time to either enjoy the relaxing and tranquil surroundings of our 15th Century Historic Hotel or roam around the ancient streets of Alcala de Henares, home to one of the world's oldest universities. In the evening we will enjoy a farwell dinner in a traditional establishment.

Its time to say goodbye to Madrid, but we will forever carry on the memories of friends and experiences made on this trip. Tour ends after breakfast with option of Transfer to Madrid Airport, a short drive away from the hotel.
